| Pro Tools 7 - ultra annoying issues I´m so sick of Pro Tools 7.0. Actually, I run into several different bugs with it all the time. Two of the most annoying are the following: 1- The keyboard short cut (R, T) for zooming will sometimes stop working. I have no idea how to fix this other than open a new session and import all my files. Sometimes it doesn´t even work. 2- Sometimes I´m unable to set the click plugin in an Aux channel when I´m in low latency monitoring. i either turn it off or record without a click. PLEASE HELP, this is very annoying! My computer is an ATHLON 64 3700, 3GB RAM (1 GB Supertalent, 2GB GSkill), two hardrives (80 and 250gb both 7200rpm), ati256 9600 pro tools 7.0 and a huge collection of plugins and my rig is a digi 002 |

| you are at protool 7.0 flat? there are various CS updates, and the upgrade to 7.1 is free if you have a valid 7.0 license. i would try that first. you should look into 7.1 before you blindly upgrade, as i do beleive low-latency monitoring is not a function that continues to exist past 7.0 second, be sure you arent accidently turning keyboard focus mode off, or it isnt switching off by itself. a workaround to your click issue would be to record the click to an audio track, and monitor that track instead of the aux. I do believe low latency monitoring in 7.0+ will disable aux tracks due to the inherent latency involved in their use.

Easy easy work around though...just print a bar of click, chop it into hits, and set track to tick based instead of sample based. Duplicate 100 or so times. Now there's no aux-track, no problem and it'll follow any tempo changes. I've run all the versions of PT7 in the past (currently on 7.4) and I've never found the bugs you're referring to. 7.4 has a couple of minor issues (the waveform redrawing being the most prominent) but just about everything else I've gone "err.....what?" at turns out to be pilot error! | |

| YES ! It worked a treat. Problem solved. I apologize for my lack of knowledge with Pro Tools, I guess I´m the one with a bug. Thanx |
