Angry SUMMER NAMM - NO EMAGIC - YET?

Well, summer namm has come and gone...

No Apple/Emagic showing up yet. I was hoping that with beta copies and screenshots of logic 7 all over the place - they would show their hand!

Nothing yet... Any news out there?

Any outstanding plugins or namm highlights?

I'm not up on history, does Apple/Emagic attend AES typically? It's not coming until Oct however.

Nada, but if I know Steve Jobs, he'll want a very splashy event where he can take center stage to do the announcement.

My sixth sense tells me very soon. I should go see what the stock market gurus are saying. Too lazy I guess.

i dont know why folks are so hung up on this.
just put a good audio/midi sequencer (n track, magix, powertracks, traktion, etc) on a cheap pc amd clone ,
and start making music. a product like powertracks has all ther midi and digital audio features i ever need.
total solution cost about 500 bucks if you shop wisely for pc components.

Logic is like a promising Formula 1 car (or Indy), with some
engine problems.

In that perspective, this isn't an average Joe's car, or midi sequencer.

But as far as sales figures go, it is.....

NPI- No Promo Intended

I wouldn't be too concerned if a DAW or keyboard manufacturer doesn't have much to show at Summer NAMM, a show which is traditionally more associated with the guitar world. Winter NAMM, AES, and Messe are the ones to watch for technology products.

I have been looking but haven't seen any of the screenshots for Logic 7. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

there was a thread over at sonikmatter, where someone had posted some.

http://community.sonikmatter.com/cgi...ultimatebb.cgi

i believe the thread and pics have since been removed

it was basically a cleaner look (buttons nicely shaded also) and more of a final cut pro look, no more telescopes to enlarge or shrink - sliders -

there were some new features for exporting to final cut and others.

A new neat idea is to use the the computer keypad as a musical keyboard. ie.- home row keys might be a c major scale (kind of thing) plus other keys would also control the volume of the note.
