EWQLSO & Logic 8 = Trouble, advice on VSL?

So, I had silver, then tried Gold, sounds great on PC...

Now trying to decide on EWQLSO Plat or VSL SE (or extended).

I installed GOLD today and I cannot get it to work. I did some research and was it looks like you need Kontact 3 or at least 2 player as the player that ships won't work.

So, I have player 2 and Kontakt 3 and both say the library is not registered even though it says registered (standalone) and I have started the device several times (and it plays as standalone)....

Anyway, nutshell, don't mind shelling out some $$ for either, or above, IF, and thats, IF I can get it to work.

My reading at the Apple forum makes me leery - as many seem to be having this problem. It works fine in stand alone but not in Kontakt 2 player, or K3 full.

On K2 player, message=can't use (thinking its thinking not registered),
On K3=it says not registered and please open at least once (I did), I copied the Contents.plist to librarie/preferences, still no go...

also, of interesting note, It never asked me (like it did on the PC), where to install the samples, I had to mannualy move file manually.....on the PC, I remember it asking WHERE it wanted me to install the libraries (I think).
Please help as I am deciding between platinum or VSL SE Extended and while I like the sounds of EWQLSO (out of box) am also in deep like of VSL and the legato tools but don't want to get to stuck wondering how to key map everything (ideas) and have the creative flow halted due to technical issues. On the other hand, it seems EWQLSO (while pretty good out of box), it seems like a nightmare with the intel macs - as neither Kontakt player will recognize the samples as being registered, not to mention, that crazy digital distortion that creeps up once in a while, even in stand alone - I remember EW saying it could be memory back in the PC days - but, hello, I am using a mac and it still does it.

Using Logic and EWQLSO Platinum here with no problems.

It's been a while, but I do remember the install being a little messy. I think I had to do a "custom install" instead of an "easy install" otherwise I ran into some of the problems you're talking about.
Don't give up, though...it definitely works.

Man oh man, I don't know -

I have tried downloading the Content.plist and placing it in the HOME LIBRARY PREFERENCES, I have launched the app as stand-alone, I have installed Kontakt 2 player, Kontackt 3 (both say its still unregistered), I have custom installed, (made sure AU was selected), and tried about every fix they say to try.

Bottom line, it runs in stand alone but is still not seen in Logic 8 at all. And when I try to launch in any of the Kontakt devices, i get a NOT REGISTERED error even though it has been registered.

Any other advice appreciated.

Having the exact same problem here, although I wasn't sure what my main issue was (Intel, Leopard, Logic 8, Kontakt version, etc.) I had this problem about a year ago when upgrading to a newer version of Konakt 2. Downgrading to a previous version fixed it. Might there be a Kontakt version that recognizes EWQL as registered? What of the above issues have we/they determined to be the culprit?
