How do I get pitch bend on NI B4?

I know I know... a B3 doesn't have pitch bend... that's why I'm using a soft synth. So I can save presets, have total recall, and do things like use a sustain pedal and bend the pitch.

Unfortunately B4 doesn't seem to want to let me do that. Neither does Logic's EVB3. Had anyone successfully tried to get pitch bend on one of these instruments?

P.S. they should at least add the pitch bend that would occur by switching off and on as used in Smokin' by Boston... sheesh.

On the EVB3 if you hold click/hold the editor button at the top and switch it to Controls it will give you some more functionality in lieu of the pretty graphic interface.

I'm pretty sure all of Logic's plugins have this feature. It's something I check out on the one's I use regularly.

I don't remember ever seeing a way to pitch bend in B3 or B4.

If the B3 doesn't respond to a pitch bend controller, it won't respond to drawn in controller info - they're the same thing as far as the softsynth is concerned!

It's not quite as much fun, but you could always do a pitch bend on the printed audio afterwards with melodyne or autotune...or elastic audio if you've got access to PT.

Well, he asked how to do pitchbend on the B4. I don't know of any external midi module that sounds as good. My old Roland VK-7 could do a "B-3 power down" but it didn't sound anywhere near as good as the b4 does.

chaps.

well i did a bit of research on this pitch bend b4 aspect.
cos i found it interesting.

it would seem i guess pitch bend wasnt incorporated cos the
original b3 didnt have it.

i asked on another forum bout external midi modules.
possibly the ketron might be an option...
but would have to be tested.
note macs response in this thread...bout b3 n b4...
n his comment how well the ketron module performs compared to b4.
he knows his stuff.
PG Music Forums: Ketron/sonic cel question..
mebe this helps someone .
but hammond afficionados would have to test the ketron. maybe.
frankly if interested i would contact ketron n see what they say.
i havent had a chance to hear ketron yet.
obviously this issue is more complex than i initially thought.
