Abbeyroad TG 12413 Limiter

Anybody used the Abbeyroad TG 12413 Limiter plugin , is it impressive ? any good on drums ? , ive filled in the form on their website to try out the demo however no licence has turned up at my ilok account (maybe it may turn up later ?).....

im looking for native stuff to replace my UAD-1 , what UAD-1 plugin would you compare it to ?

Perhaps not as colored as some of the uad plugs, but punchy hell.

+ I like that there are not many buttons on it...

I don't know, just work it out with the ilok... the guys at the abbeyroad webside answer pretty quik.

you just have to wait a while for the ilok demo to get to your account, i think they do them by hand

i like it, i think it tightens up the bass a bit and the compressor can be quite subtle.

the release times are quite long

Great on Drum rooms.

In fact it is superb on bringing out the room on drums - Just pump up the input gain, set to limit and choose your release. Also superb on Acoustic guitars and basslines.

Its great becasue its one of those plugs/hardware pieces where you just play wth the knobs til it sounds good. I rarely look at the GR meter.

I would highly recommend it. One thing I don't use it on is for general level taming. I'll stick to something more bog standard like a 1176 or massey.
