Benchmark - Old g5 2.7 vs new Mac pro's?

I'm considering a move soon to a new Mac Pro of some description from my PPC g5 2.7. Anyone made this leap? I can't find any benchmarks comparing the older machines with the new ones. Plug ins counts on Tools is something i understand for example..

Primate Labs Blog Benchmarking

Mac Pro (Early 2008)
Dual Quad-Core Intel Xeons @ 3.20 GHz - Scores 8254

Power Mac G5 (June 2004)
Dual PowerPC G5 @ 2.7 GHz - Scores 2251

Realistically you'll get a performance increase in the 60 - 70% range in terms of plug-in power.

Here is a very simple benchmark test. Download the zipfile located on the link above.
Open with Logic 8.01. Then un-mute tracks one by one and check how many tracks your computer is able to run. My iMac intelduo 2.4 GHz can run 16 tracks.
Feel free to email your result to me, evan@evan.se

Results from different users so far:

MacPro 2.8GHz 8 core:
50 tracks

Power Mac G5 Quad 2.5:
21 tracks

iMac 2.4Ghz duo:
18 tracks

Macbook Pro 2.4 Ghz:
16 tracks

PowerMac G5 2x2.5:
11 tracks

Depending on the weather conditions etc, a 8x 2.8GHz mac pro can run 100-110 stereo space designers with the built in audio @ 44.1kHz & 256 buffer. Just to compare with the results posted earlier in this thread.
