Change the pitch of a song

I'm trying to find out if there's a good plugin that will change the pitch of a song...The artist changed her mind and thinks it's a whole step too high!!! Since I'm done with the production/recording the best solution would be to pitch down the Instrumental Final Mix and then do vocals on top. I'm on PT HD.

I had the same problem 3 weeks ago. The talent just blushed, could not sing to such a high pitch he himself had chosen. I used Serato Pitch in time. It is wonderful. I transposed bass, accordion, acoustic guitar and everyting sounded perfect!
If you do the transpose with the final mix, you will have lots of headaches, phase will become a problem, rythm mixed with harmony, no big deal using plug gizmos. As you have more antiphase material, sound will become crap.

or try the Waves Soundshifter plugin from their Transform bundle, I also tried Serato PnT, but I think Soundshifter is much better. At our facility we compared both extensively on a lot of sources, mainly stems for film, music with stringed instruments and difficult dialogue stems already full of of strange ambience phasing artifacts. Waves handled those smoother without getting metallic in the top-end.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try it with raw tracks and see what happens.

I'm pushing my own product here, but you should also check out Speed by SoundToys (Me). It tends to sound very clean, but with all 3 of these plug-ins the results vary with each individual piece of audio.

You can get the demo at:

Plus the price of Spped is way better than either the Waves bundle, or Pitch & Time...
