SYNC Logic 8 on Macbook Pro to PTle on Mac Pro?

Does anyone have this working?

Got two setups;

1) MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 2 GB - OS X 10.5.1
Logic 8 with a Motu 828 MKII

2) Mac Pro Quadcore 2.66GHz, 2 GB - OS X 10.4.9
Digidesign 003 with Pro Tools 7.4

Currently audio from Logic is go to Pt via the Motu SPDIF out to the 003's SPIDF in.
The two are running at 48k with wordclock coming from an eventide unit.

Now I'd like to ideally get them to sync so that I can use Logic for most of the midi/soft synth work and PT for the audio stuff. I've been try various ways using midi/mtc with no joy.

How does this work? Is it do-able?

Are you sending MTC or midibeat clock from the LE rig to logic? Do you have logic setup to chase MTC or beat clock?

You will need to setup this on both macs in the audio midi setups, and in the respected apps.
