What chorus plug-ins are the best ones for ProTools HD?

Isn't it SAD SAD SAD that Digi doesn't include something as basic as a chorus plugin? I'd recommend Audio Damage Fluid (and everything else by Audio Damage) if you have a RTAS to AU/VST wrapper.

Audio Damage :: Fluid

Yep! Some great choruses in there. By the name you'd think it's only a delay plugin, but its choruses are rich and warm and sound great in the mix.

They do.

The short delay plug actually opens up as a chorus.

About a year ago I asked Massey plugins if they'd code up a chorus suite for TDM, since the options out there are boring and kind of suck. Didn't seem too interested though.

So screw it, I use a rackmount hardware chorus and patch it into the SSL.

I just checked out the Fluid audio demo and it sounds really great, but I hate to use a wrapper. Sadly the company seems resistant to an RTAS or TDM version.

I've been having a lot of great results with Centrifuze on vocals. It's kinda funky to get a handle on, but can get really deep. Definitely not just a chorus plug in.

I use the FXpansion VST->RTAS wrapper. I only wrap a few choice plug-ins, and for the most part it works very well. Many of the ProTools shortcut keys do not work with a wrapped plug-in open on the screen (use your mouse), and there are a few VST plug-ins that have problems wrapped. But things like the Audio Damage plug-ins wrap and work very well. I think it is a mistake to blindly wrap every plug-in in your VST folder. Instead make a VST folder for the wrapper and copy important VST plug-ins there. Wrap and test them one at a time.

+1 on the wrapper. Works great.

Massey probably knows their market and know what to spend time coding up.
