Thread Starter | PT Crash Hey folks, I'm mixing an album tracked by someone else, with the files transported to me via client's hard drive. I work in PT, as does the tracking engineer. I do this quite often, and I'm having some problems that I've never encountered before. I started the session fine with no technical glitches, however, a few songs failed to open, and PT would just crash. I was able to create new sessions, import the data from the funky sessions, and carry on. The last batch of files, however, does not want to play nice. PT crashes even when I attempt to access the files to load in the session data. My PT rig is quite stable, as I stoped updating once I got to a point where it didn't crash on me. My other sessions open without issue, so I've deduced that the corruption is happening somewhere in the transfer of the sessions from hard drive to hard drive. Any suggestions? Thanks! Chris

| Sounds like what happens when you plug an NTFS drive into a Mac. Is the other guy using Pro Tools on a PC? Make sure the PC is writing to a FAT32 drive or burn files to a DVD. Z |
