How do the verbs inside Logic 6 pro sound?

Any of you guys compared the verbs in Logic 6 to other software verbs?
I was thinking of getting either logic6 pro or express to use on my powerbook and was wondering how the reverbs stack up against others? I've been using garageband to put together some songs and I think its great fun for the money
The new garageband does rewire so I thought another recording app would be fun as I already have reason, peace

Cool

Hello,
To my ears and others, Logics Platinum verbs sounds wonderful. You can really get some good verb action using it..

Space Designer is very good. It can really put a recording into a "space".

The other "rare metal" reverbs are not my taste.

Do any of you guys use live? I found that i could update from my digi lite version to live 3 for $200 so I downloaded it this morning and will be trying that out. Looks pretty cool so far, I may end up getting logic too but for now this is mostly for portable fun.
How does space designer stack up to other verbs like reverb1 or hardware stuff?
If the verb in logic is that good as you've said, worth the price alone, just not ready for another curve this week I guess

I'm sorry but Pverb is truly horrible. Conolving reverbs are only as good as the samples/impulses it uses. The presets in Space designer are a good starting place but it's worth looking on the net for some more as there are some great ones for download.

I can't stand Platinum verb, but Space Designer is outstanding.

The other reverbs are not anything special but Space designer is pretty freakin great. I have done a little scratching on the surface and am very impressed. If your looking to have fun, Logic has a learning curve that isn't fun unless you like overcoming software and prevailing. After 3 weeks of intense study I would have to say that Logic is the best I have ever used IMHO. But fun on a laptop is more like "Live" perhaps.

(me after semi mastering Logic in 3 weeks)

the Platinum verb in Logic blows.....the DVerb in Ptools kicks its ass

Space Designer is outstanding...it's a convolution verb though...reacts differently than a character verb....

Space designer is excellent, I personally don't think it sounds like a software reverb and I have been stauntly opposed to non-hardware verbs up until now.

I would be keen to get some adresses for IR downloads if anyones got some!!

Ok, since you brought it up,sort of, you can run logic verbs and protools verbs at the same time?
I know that you can use logic to control ptools hardware but since I don't have logic I just assumed that you could run tracks with ptools built in verbs and logics verbs at the same time?
I have an HD rig so I guess logic is on the list but I wonder how much of a pain it is to setup?
I took some tracks that I recorded in Hd and loaded them into garageband and went on vacation and was supprised how good the mix sounded, ya know being that it was a quick mix done on phones on a plane and garageband is part of a $49 package
Life is good
thanks all!

Looking for impulse responses ?
Heres the links:

Noisevault - even an IR-Forum

echochamber

And finally the Software to create your own IR's :

Voxengo Impulse Modeler -- At the time this is Windows only, but maybe you can create your reverbs in a can as well ?!?

Hope this helps,

Pit

PLATINUM VERB IS A HORRIBLE PIECE OF SHIT.

SPACE DESIGNER IS A HORRIBLE PIECE OF SHIT ALSO BECAUSE THERE'S NO GOOD VERBS FOR IT. EMAGIC SHOULD HAVE CALLED IT "SOUND DESIGNER". LAZY FU$KERS IN GERMANY AND CUPERTINO DIDN'T EVEN SPEND A FEW GRAND TO TAKE A PLANE AND SAMPLE SOME DECENT ROOMS. GREEDY LYING MONEYGRUBBING MAGGOTS NEED TO BE FLOGGED WITH BROKEN GLASS AND RAZORS.

Man,
I don't how you can qualify that Platinum verb is a POS, but I find
that it's very useful.

The Space Designer is also cool, if you have some good Impulses.
So, I would not called a POS..
