| ASIO? HI it says in cubase my asio is 14 ms, is this good, can someone tell me exactly what this means and if there is a way to get it faster , ok thanks |

| you may have a few things confused here.... asio is a communication protocol for your sound card... also known as drivers.... that time of 14ms. refers to your latency or the amount of time it takes to take in a signal and then play it again... this is kind of an oversimplification and i'm sure one of the other guy's will fillyou in better... what kind of soundcard or (preferably) intyerface do you have???? anything below 10ms is generaly considered pretty good but you may beable to go lower... though in some cases you may not want to... for instance while tracking low is great... but while mixing you can go a bit easier on your puter by raisng it some....
