WUP Expires in 1 day!!

damnn i just wanna let everyone that has waves IR TO know.. there is a website called acoustics.net and if your wup hasnt expired you can download so many impulses for it... theres tons! im just glad i found out about it now. is there anything else i can take advantage of while i still have wup? ive been searching for presets... mainly for the doubler and the supertap. anyone know where i can get some??

WUP is the devil. I decided to quite with Waves because of it. I don't like leasing plug-ins.

I hate to break the news to you, but unless you are creating your own plugins, you lease them all.
You only have a license to use any plugins. You don't actually own them.

Something that doesn't give me a length of time or a type of use restriction is "owned" in my book. My leased car goes back in a few years - my plugins stay in their folder forever.

But you don't have to pay yearly fees just to keep them running. All other plug-ins are owned, you paid for the product, they gave it to you, the iLok license just prevents the piracy.

Two weeks ago was the first time I up my WUP in 4 years.
When I did, I got 4 new plugins for my $200 WUP fee.
In my book, that's a pretty good deal.

Look, do I like Waves WUP policy? NO!
Will I continue to use Waves. YES!
I just upgraded from Platinum to Mercury Bundle.

waves has made the wup slightly more tollerable, capping the fee's if you let it expire. Before, no way man, had I known what their biz model was, I would of NOT given them my bisness. Like w years later after I spend a grand on Gold, a new OS came out and I had to update my waves, plus pay back wup charges, I think I had to shell out another 400 dollars just to get the plugs to work again. complete rip off...

now they have capped wup, so its not quite as insane. your call, OS updates happen.
