PSP Xenon - anyone tried it?

Interested to know if anyone has tried the new Xenon limiter plug from PSP? I'm down to the last 3 spaces on my iLok so don't want to demo it unless it's worth the 'slot'

Particularly interested in it transparency, and how it compares to the Sony / Sonnox limiter.

Thanks!

You can use a trial version that does not use the Ilok?
Given the immense magic that their Vintagewarmer performs I'd say, give it a try! Pace should be able to erase a slot if a plug is (in your eyes) is useless no?

Yeah, that'd be great. Then you could keep demoing plugs instead of buying them!

the trial version does need an ilok and you can't remove licenses from your ilok, you can only transfer them to another ilok

Ah I see. Xenon is Ilok only. Well gentlemen of Pace, a plug once bought or tried will live forever in a slot? Kindly fix that in your next software update.
And Nielson, to my limited knowledge trial versions are relating their time limitation to the machine code number and date and time of the machine.
*downloads Xenon and will report later.*

Reid, Xenon has a thumbs up from Bob Katz. Only a few years ago he stated that any software was not up to hardware. Now he uses it.

OK, installed and running Xenon now. X sounds brilliant! I can compare it to Vintage warmer in the sense that every preset does something dramatically subtile for the sound. All this improves the sound. This is rather a psycho acoustic then a technical opinion but PSP keep adding shine and magic to the sound.

Stunning...
Luckily I haven't used an ilok demo yet.
In light of this, I will avoid them.

transparent or like vintage warmer?

Vintage Warmer is all about character, not transparency. I would expect that Xenon would be transparent, but people here are comparing it to Vintage Warmer which would indicate that Xenon is colorful.

So, is it transparent or does it add color?
