Adobe Audition for Tracking & Mixing ???

I was browsing through the forum for the best tracking software for, in my case, vocals. I've read that many people prefer to use REAPER for tracking, and then into other softwares like Audition etc for mixing.I was wondering whats the difference if I track in audition ?Whats the benefit of doing it in REAPER ?Since it is going to be transferred to audition for mixing, why not use audition for tracking and preserve the project as is for mixing. Please tell me.

mike.
i use reaper for both traking n mixing.
ive used audition occasionally in the past.
i cant see why people would need to do it.
but thats just me.
the only reason i can think of is audition has some v nice audio forensics type tools
for analysing waveforms/spectral analysis etc etc.
for example audition i believe is rather popular in the radio sector also.
difficult to say..depends on the user.

I did my first album a few months ago, using only reaper for tracking/mixing. MORE than happy with Reaper

I used to use PT, but when I got inside Reaper, there was no return.
