We recommended Azureus simply because its nice and obvious and easy to use.

Its also on mac and pc and yes it can be a bit hoggy as its java based but if people know a better client or prefer a different one then they can certainly use any they choose.

We have to assume that some people dont know what or how to use bittorrent and for those people azureus is very simple to learn.

We decided to use torrents for a very simple reason letting thousands of users download 3 or so gig of free extra content would have ended up costing us a fortune in bandwidth costs.

Torrents original use was to enable exactly this type of 'legal' sharing and for that it works incredibly well it is of no real surprise that its use has spread so massively among the file sharing communities.

Its almost a shame that the word torrent implies warez these days because it makes company's wary of using it for legitimate purposes to. However we think its a perfectly acceptable way of distributing content like this.

Our users have embraced this methodology and im sure we will be using it again in the future for similiar tasks.

Cheers

Gareth
