Thread Starter | DAW Metering?
How do I ensure that at every place on all channels and in all chains, including between all plug-ins, never gets bigger than -6dBr and that my final output also never peaks beyond -6dBr. I use Pro Tools and I have the Bomb Factory Meter, sorry that’s all I have. What steps must I take? Please be specific. Also, if you know of any good reading on digital metering and how it relates to ITB mixing/mastering please include links… Thanks in advance! |

Hi Robb, You can also make sure to check both pre and post fader on each track in PT. I'd also recommend the Mastering Handbook by Bob Katz. It has an excellent section on metering. Regards, Bruce |
