You should have a Prelisten and a Metronome track.
Is it one of those?

no. it's a regular audio track but I created it within the mixer window not the arrange window. the track is in the mixer but not in the arrange.

also how do I manage to have the tracks in the same order in the arrange window and the mixer window ? they are in different order

i'm just getting used to the workflow, I'm really crappy with LP now

you can choose the 'arrange' option at the top of the mixer window to get the order in the arrange window to display there

maybe the new track you created is hidden???

not sure. perhaps go into the environment and just delete it and recreate it. sure it shouldn't be happening but with the bugs in logic, nothing surprises me anymore!

I'm not shure how you created a regular audio track in the mixer.
You can create AUX-tracks but not a regular audio track.
You can Control-klick the track and choose "Select/Create Arrange Track" to get it on the arrange or you can just set it to Read automation mode.

To manage the tracks you can choose "Automatic Management of Channel Strip Objects" in your Project preferences > Audio. Then Choose the Arrange button in the mixer.
