Arrange window at Sample level-Anyone?

This is my third time posting this, with no responses...a simple "no" would suffice if it's just not possible.

I can't seem to view my audio in the arrange window at the sample level? Is this just not possible.

Yes, I understand that you can in the sample editor, however, i find if very usefull when editing and lining things up to see and edit multiple tracks at the sample level. It must be possible, I'm really hoping there's something supersimple I'm just overlooking

not to my knowledge, but I'm certainly no guru. I think Logic is the best thing since sliced bread until it comes time to do serious audio edits. Then I import the tracks into Protools and remember why its Protools. and then back to Logic to mix. pain in the !!!

someday I'll create my own DAW and call it Digital-Logic-Tools and it will incorporate aspects of my three favorite DAW's. You would think as flexible as they all try to be that they would be more flexible.

That's my rant.

at least you have an anwser now, even if it isn't all that helpful.

You certainly can get down to sample level and edit at that level too.

You have to zoom all the way in with the Arrange window and set the 'SNAP' resolution set to 'Samples', to make certain. But 'Smart' snap will work too.

Definitely able to edit at sample level here in the Arrange window.

I'm not sure what your idea of sample level is, but when I zoom in with snap set to samples, it's certainly not close to sample level on any of the audio i'm looking at. without going into details, just look at the difference between the waveform on the track in the arrange window, and what it looks like in the sample editor(where it is sample level).

It most certainly does zoom into the sample level. When you see the pixilated squares, each one of those represents a sample. They are bigger in the sample edit window, but still they exist in the arrange. Try using the "nudge by sample" command. You'll see that it perfectly moves from one little square to the next.

i hate the fact that the sample view is sample and hold rather than continuous like in pro tools. i'd at least like the option

Now why would you hate that? It gives you a very clear indication of where the sample is. With a continuous view sometimes you can't tell.

from memory you have the choice in the sample editor, just would be nice to have the choice in the arrange page.

i just prefer working with a smooth waveform...not that it prevents me from getting work done
