| Help, opening old pro tools files..
Hi
I need to transfer some files off a scsi hard drive which were recorded in a version of pro tools from around 1998 - 2000.. I dont know the exact version of pro tools they were done on all i know is its all done with pro tools on a mac..
So far i have managed to transfer them onto a PC via a program that lets PC open HFS formatted partitions.. I can see all the folders and file names etc But the audio files wont open on the PC (i tried in sound forge) and when i sent them to my friend who has a mac he cannot open them either..
There is a TXT file in the folders which opens no problem and since i can see all the folders intact, im assuming the transfer from MAC SCSI drive to PC isnt the problem but rather something to do with the audio file format is the problem ???
So my question is.. How can i get these files off the old MAC SCSI hard drive and ultimately converted into wave or aiff files so they can be used down the track on other systems ?
Appreciate any help..
