PT LE Plug-In Delay Compensation Curiosity

Pro Tools LE users: How far do take plug-in Delay Compensation?

I’m in the process of trying to get tracks in a large session to be phase coherent. Using the Digi Rack Time Adjuster plug-in, I’ve started matching the delayed samples of double mic’d sources (ie – Snare Top and Bottom) and have noticed a huge improvement.

I typically route all of the drums (and guitar, bass, vocals) to individual stereo busses. Is it worth delaying these buses by the highest sample delay found across session?

How about the effect busses, which will have some latency due to the inserted effect plug-in? I feel like I’m getting into some grey area here.

Any insight in this area would be much appreciated!

Some plugins will not bring any latency in PT LE:
most Waves plugins,
some PSP plugs (PSP Neon with LP off - the best eq ever!)
Sonalksis plugs

if using PC, you can see the delay value, by holding CTRL and click on where it says VOL +13 for example. there you can see a few different measurements.

I'm using a lot of Waves Renaissance stuff, which does have some delay.

I'm aware of "dly" view and use it. I'm curious if it's going to be worthwhile to delay the busses, especially the busses that are using plug-ins.
