I need a Laptop capable of "64 sample" recording & lot of VSTi ( 002R )

Hi there!!!

I need some help guys. Thanks in advance.

I've heard about ADK, Rain Recording, MusicXPC, Sweetwater Custom, and others.

To be honest... i've never been able to make music in PEACE. Latency is headache in almost every computer i've tried.

ProTools is a PITA also, with the 9094 and 6068 errors at low buffer settings.

I just give up.

I'm tired of wasting my money in custom build computers, and i just want to go with something that could work like i want, just out of the BOX.

I need a LAPTOP with certified components that would allow me to archive my goals :

64 samples w/ reverbs is a must for vocal recording.
( i've never been able to do this with high track counts )

MIDI and Virtual Instruments are also headaches.
( i want to run lot of instruments at very low buffer settings )

----

If anyone can offer a good opinion on these companies or any other, that would be great.

Thanks.

HI,
while of those listed my laptop is the only one with TI chipset and capable of low latency (64 buffer)

what your asking is impossible.
most desktops would have a hard time doing 64 buffer with lots of VSTi and effects with a high track count. (most likely 256 buffer)

a laptop will not, even the Quad core i sell.
a macbook will not either.

if scott cant help ya dude... forget it... and it was absurd to begin with to believe that an off the shelf piece with all the bloatware was gonna do it... time to rethink what you really need to accomplish vs a laptop/rack server...

Let's say i have 20tracks in a project(no plugins), and it's time to lay down some harmony tracks at "64 samples" with some eq & reverbs...

Is there any laptop at ADK, that would allow me to do this?

I'm not asking for an insane project full of instruments... ( let's forget about this )

it's just for vocal tracking. vocals always end up being the last ones to be recorded.
But i need a good performance at least with 20 tracks on board.

Gotta be a decent laptop.... my god ....
