Has Propellerheads opened up Reason's midi architecture yet?

Haven't checked out Reason since 2.0 but saw that they've added an arpeggiator now. I'd pick up 4.0 just to be able to use the arp, step sequencer and redrum to trigger my synths.

Have they opened up the midi to allow sequencing of external modules and synths yet? If not, what's taking them so long?!
