pcmcia - steinberg

Hi.
My old lap-top just died and the new-one has no pcmcia slot, to connect my
Steinberg audiolink 96 multiset to. If someone has any idea, how to solve the
problem ( and keep my steinberg audiolink) please help !!
My new Toshiba lap top has:

2 x memory slots
1 x Express CardT slot
1 x 5-in-1 Bridge Media slot (supports SDT Cards, Memory StickR, Memory
Stick ProT, MultiMedia CardT, xD-Picture CardT)

I have a gut feeling that this type of adapter would cause problems.

It has potential for problems - I agree. Make sure it's returnable to whatever vendor you chose - it may be worth a try.

I think that is just a rebadged RME interface. You may want to contact their tech support and see if their new express card interface will work with you breakout box.

RME: Home
I looks like it won't be available until December

Thanks for replies....i guess my toshiba satelite is something "special"; it is on the
"black list" of computers, where this kind of adapter wouldn't work. If there is no other solution it looks like i'll have to change it...
