Smile Nuendo MIDI problem

Sometimes when I record a virtual midi instrument within Nuendo a strange thing will happen.

Say I record a couple of chords. Well, when I play it back it is as if all of the notes I hit during that instance of recording are played back AT ONCE!

As opposed to playing in whatever sequential order I played them in while playing/recording.

In other words, instead of playing the melody, for example A then B then C then E, it simply plays A,B,C, and E at once (like a big ugly chord) and then nothing for the remainder of the track.

And there is no consistency to this problem.

Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. I have been trying to isolate the problem but I can't! any ideas? I would really appreciate any help with this issue.

As ridiculous as it sounds... are you auto-quantizing to some huge extent that I'm not even sure is possible? I mean, it sounds like a quantizing flub up, besides the obvious the note engaging is not coming through correctly along the grid being caused by a mysterious force.

Best bet may just be to hit "Reset" at the bottom of the MIDI pull-down menu.

Good luck, I sifted through nuendo and couldn't figure out a way to make mine do it....

cheers

Are you using a Presonus FireStudio? Usually if all your notes are stacking on the front of the track it is a hardware buffering issue. In my experience, updating your hardware drivers will fix this. Of course make sure Nuendo is updated as well.

I have the absolutly same problem with Nuendo that you have.
I'm interested; did you solve the problem, and how.

I'm using soundcard Presonus Firepod.

Thanx!
