I am writing this on a 2x22" monitor setup on my homestudio Cubase machine that runs perfectly on the integrated (silent no fan) graphics card on the motherboard. I even do some video editing on this box.

At the main studio I run 2x24" monitors and the integrated graphics card won't cut it. There I needed a more powerful graphics card that cut me around 120€. (silent without fan GPU) a nVidia 8600 something.

Hope this helps you even if I don't run PT on it. I bet the graphics card don't mind what brand it is showing.

Cheers for that. I will only be running single Monitor and currently mine is a 20" LCD 1650 x 1080.

Thing is, I need to hear from PT specific people as its a prerequisite to have a dedicated graph card on PC builds on the Digi site. They are WAY more picky than other DAW software companies.

I just find it bizzare as some of the Mac's use this chip and their are no issues at all.

If I have to put one in I will, but if I can save $$ and cut down on noise I'd prefer to use on board graph.

Cheers anyway though.

Another conformation that PTLE 7.3 runs rock solid on my pc. The computer is a few years old but custom built by myself. I have used macs for PT a whole bunch and can attest the it runs as well if not better. But that is because I have a faster processor. I am going to build a quad core system soon so lets hope that PTLE behaves. It is going to be XP 32 so it shouldn't be a problem. I also plan on getting Cubase 4.1 soon too..yay!
