Sony native plugs.............outstanding!

spent time this weekend with the eq, dynamics, verb, and limiter. i already own the modulator and inflator. these plugs really live up to the hype. they are so easy to use and produce immediate positive results from even the limited presets. i had a blast messing with them.

the videos from fab were helpful too.

anyway, thumbs up for these sony plugs!

I've tried these on a few projects and they sound amazing. The eq, reverb and limiter are on the top of my to-buy list.

I hope Sonnox will make a delay some day. Perhaps something in the alley of the sde-330?

What happened to the restoration plugins? They seem to have dissapeared.

Were they any good, should I be concerned that they went away? I have a Powercore, but prefer to use native plugins so I never tried the Oxford stuff.

I did get a nice demo using headphones at AES several years ago. Even in that horrible environment I could tell that the EQ was awesome.

Is their copy protection easier to live with than Waves'? Waves copy protection is such a pain in the butt that I had the opportunaty to upgrade to the latest version, but gave it to my co-worker because I didn't want to go through all the trouble required to install it.

I'm looking at buying these after hearing so many good things about them but 1 quesiton. Should i buy the native or the powercore version? is there a difference in sound? I'm leaning towards the native version if they sound the same. I have a powercore mk II.

thanks.

I think PowerCore-versions include native .....

for the difference - highly subjective

i have the mkII also but i tested the vst versions. i have the inflator and modulator on the PCore so i could a/b. i could not tell the difference. fwiw?

seems like for portability the Pcore might be the wrong choice, especially since the CPU hit is so low on these vst plugs.

Limiter et al nulls - so 0% difference. AFAIK only the Inflator didn't null completely.

Go for the native versions.
