How important: to be able to see all of the mixer?

In the single window setup of logic, I have noticed that certain screen sizes/resolutions dont allow one to fully extend the logic mixing window (you have to scroll a little distance up and down to see all of it)
for those of you using it, how important is it to your work flow to be able to see all of the mixer pane? I need this information to judge how big of a screen/resolution to run. Thanks!

(P.S. any of you using macbook pro 17" model with the 1680 res? if so, can you fully max out the mixer pane? we're talking, scroll bar dissapears)

Well, I'm using it on a Macbook - I'd of course rather see the whole mixer but I'm so used in two finger scrolling it doesn't bother me. I can always use the screensets or hook up a larger display if I want to.

wow

just used a macbook pro in the Apple store and the two finger scrolling is possbly one of the coolest things for an trackpad to do... WOW! That feature totally negates the downside of a mac not having a right click button, but DAMN if they had both!

Well they have...every current mac has a mouse with right click and on portables hold two fingers on the touchpad when clicking and you have right click.

Actually, the behavior you describe only is necessary in boot camp. In OSX just tapping the trackpad with 2 fingers will right click. Using any other trackpad makes me feel like I'm wearing mittens while typing.

You know, they should really advertise this. And the clicking while tapping with one finger and right-clicking while tapping with two fingers moves, as well. I think perhaps half of the people I know who complain about Macs mention the "lack of right-clicking" as their single BIGGEST annoyance.

I know, doesn't seem like that big a deal. But we're talking about a LOT of people here.

They don't advertise it for the same reason that they still try to make the mighty mouse look like a one button mouse (to the detriment of its usability).. it seems like after the old days of one button mice they don't want to admit that multi button ones work better. Sometimes Apple's (~Jobs'~) ego can get in the way of good marketing.

And don't get me started on the lack of a software uninstaller in OS X. That's another ego trip. 'Just drag the .app icon to the trash. Couldn't be easier'. What a load of crap.
