MBP 2.2 LED or iMAC 2.8?

Have a MBP 2.2 LED, one of the newer, can get at least $1850, especially if I keep LOGIC, Adobe, FCP (cousin works for adobe, friends at apple) or hold onto MBP which never seems to run out of headroom and get RAID setup (Firmteck and 2 eSATA drives), plus appogee, and I have a decent FW interface ($1000 range) which sounds good.

I could always get the duo core Mac Pro, but the 24 screen is great! Am wondering if APPLE will come out with new GLOSSY screens. Then I probably wouldn't even think about it - 2.2 to 2.4 no big deal, 2.2 to Mac PRO is a big deal, then again, with new OS, a 4 x faster (if you watched the keynote with the photo program that took 28 seconds, 64 bit and 86 sec for 32 bit.

Unlike Vista, I think OSX will show a decent improvement when it goes 64 bit.

personally i will go with one of the iMac 2.8GHz models over the MBP for music production. only problem is no ExpressCard slot or PCI slots, so that means no UAD cards and the like. i'll let you know when mine arrives how it performs (i use PT LE).
