I'm running a Pro Tools HD2 Accel system on a Mac Pro computer and I've had two sessions now where Pro Tools unexpectedly closes and soon as I start to bounce my session. No error message, just closes, and upon trying to reopen Pro Tools, my entire computer freezes. Has this happened to anyone or can anyone explain this? I know the easy way around is just to record it down to a stereo track, I just want to know why the system is crashing? Any ideas? -drew |

I too have an HD2 Accel but on a PPC Dual G5 2.0...PT 6.9.4cs... Here is a thread from the DUC that might be helpful.. http://duc.digidesign.com/showflat.p...part=1#1201814 one guy talks about deleting the "digidesign database" folder with the volume.ddb in it on all your hard drives...this has worked for me before when I was having problems. I have found this free ap very helpful.... http://web.mac.com/jcdeshaies/iWeb/D...Bienvenue.html Have it trash all it can, empty the trash, repair permissions, restart...and try to bounce again.... |

Never encountered that. But have you tried "the normal stuff", like trashing the preferences and so on?

I have not. I just opened up the same session, hid and made all the tracks that I wasn't using inactive, and it bounced fine. I don't understand why that would make a difference. Thanks for the resources though.
