Sample Accuracy in Logic 8?

I've been using Digital Performer instead of Logic because Logic's recording and editing were not truly sample-accurate, whereas DP was as tight as ProTools.

Now Apple claim that Logic 8 IS sample-accurate, can anyone confirm this please?

I've read lots of threads about Logic 8 and I'm considering switching over.
