Custom nudge value in Logic 8

I always (well since version 5 on PC) used Logic for composing but always used Pro Tools LE for tracking and mixing at home.

I might get rid of my digi002 and go RME or Apogee...

BUT I've got a few concerns... One of them is the ability in PT LE to enter a custom nudge value (in samples) which I use to manually compensate the Latency when I use some Hardware compressor. Can you do that in Logic 8?

I found the key command for nudging by "nudge value" in L8 but this seems to be "linked" with the quantize value in the arrange window. Nothing more specific in the manual...

Thanks

AFAIK this is a weakness in Logic. You can't enter 10ms or something like that. But I suppose you could figure out what 10ms was in terms of frame rate or something else but it does seem a little tortured.

That's disappointing... It's not a big deal either to add the function.. I hope it'll be in a next update.

Thanks anyway.

Unless people tell them [Apple] what they want, don't "hope" it'll be in the next update and then when the update comes and it's not in there.... you know the drill.

Tell someone.

good point. having sample-accurate in arrange window will be fully useful when we could enter specific. nudge values.

kinda half-assed on Apple's part IMO.
