Are Synth Environments Still Needed?

Hello, do we still need to load synth environments in order to pull patch names from synths? By default LP8 is only listing bank & patch numbers, no names.

Thanks,

D

Unortuneately, I haven't found any changes/improvements in how Logic 8 handles external synths (unless you count the fact that you can create an 'external' midi track now without fussing in the environment first).

I'd like to see some menu customization for automation parameters on the arrange page as well as automatic menu highlighting of parameters recorded.
