Still can't apply AU effects destructively in Logic 8??

Obviously it can be done since they have the "factory" effects in the sample editor.......what the heck is Apple thinking? Hi-light a bunch of clips in Cubase/Nuendo, select an effect (like Autotune) hit return and in an instant all the clips are effected. Incredibly fast and completely un-doable. Logic is missing the boat here.

this is where recording bus function becomes useful (good for printing autotune)

I'm sure this will come now when the Arrange window is sample accurate. If this would have been implemented in a non-sample accurate Arrange window, the result may have ended up slightly out-if-time.

I guess you can use the bundled soundtrack pro 2 as a wave editor with logic 8 too. At least I used logic 7 and soundtrack pro 1 together. Just set a keycommand in logic which opens the selected waveform (in arrange) to soundtrack pro wave editor. Do anything in there and press save (in STP2) and the wave is modified in logic. Just open the soundtrack pro 2 and let it run on the backround. It doesn't take much if any cpu cycles.

All logic and audio unit plugins are available in STP2 (also some STP2 plugins which are not in logic).

But yeah, I agree that apple could have included the soundtrack pro style wave editor inside logic already.

I can get the file to open in STP, but after saving it and going back to Logic, the file is not replaced. Any ideas? Also, is there a way to automate the plugin process in STP? Thanks for the work around, Apple definitely needs to address this. Thanks,
