static when switching mixer digi 002

so i switch the mixer on the 002. And i can only play 44.1 and not 88.2 projects. The new mixer is a piece of shit but i just want to play back some stuff and it's only temp. But i get just plain static when i try to play back my timeline. So is it the mixer. It's coming in spdif from the 002 to the tascam tm-d1000 mixer. Can this mixer not handle 88.2 or something.

What does your manual say?
My guess would be that mixer only does 44.1 and 48k.
