I-LOK Nightmare

not the first thread of this type.

Off today so i decided to download a few demos- waves api, urs channel strip pro, sonnox limiter.

why do they make these ilok demo authorizations so difficult?

urs spent about an hr then contacted support and I had to change from demo download to real non demo installer and then it worked in demo mode on my rig??

Sonnox limiter - super simple. why cant they all be like this? up n runnin in about 7 min.

Waves. I remember when i bought the SSL the problems I had. I followed instructions to the T and at the screen for my response code it kept telling me i had no authorizations on my ilok even though it said authorized on my waves account page. Needless to say, after an hr I just uninstalled it and i will never buy the API bundle. Lost interest because of the process.

why cant they just send the damn authorization to ur ILOK account and then u install demo and it just opens in ur DAW?

by the way i bought the sonnox limiter only. URS didnt live up to the hype for me.

I'm not an ilok lover, but what you say here it's more related to how the developers create their demo.
For example with Antares and Soundtoys, but also with Audioease I had no problems and it was incredibly fast, well as it should be.

So if I were you I would change the title of your thread to something like: "Hey, if you want us to demo your products, don't punish us!" ;-)
