I'm using it on an Windows XP SP2 system with Cubase and Samplitude.

Works and sounds fine but it is a bitch in the loading department....takes forever.

I think I am going to knock out about 80% of the impulses. That should speed the load process up.

I've got 6.1 TDM running and love it. I pretty much use it for the 480L presets these days.

Stay away from The TDM version.
When I convert RTAS - TDM and back, the reverbs sound very different.
The TDM version takes 4 chips per instance. On a large Accel system with multiple TDM instances a DSP shuffle cause PT to crash.
The extra dough for TDM is not worth it stick with the Native version.

well.......... i need to have delay compensation on, (to use some hardware inserts) - and currently i'm on a dual 1.8 G5 - and so RTAS isn't gonna work as rtas altiverb and delay compensation on is a bad combo.....

Altiverb is far far the best of all convolution reverbs today. If you do postpro, than it's a musthave. Sure it's expensive, but let's take a look at what you get. A reverb, with far the largest impulse lib available. Not to mention that the quality of the impulses usually better than the ones you can find for free or cheap. You get a little util that allows you to create your own impulses, and an always growing free library of impulses which can be downloaded from the altiverb site. Honestly I think in todays market there is no competition all in all, the best is altiverb hands down.
I don't work for them, and though I love tlspace, altiverb is the winner.
