RME TotalMix and Sound Forge show different input levels, which is correct??

How do I set them so they are the same?
Which settings should I use.

Thanks ,
Dave

Not used sound forge for a bit,
but try setting RME meters to peak (instead of rms) and untick the +3db rms button.

Especially when recording, I would go with the total mix. It will also tell you if the DAW (Sound Forge) is changing any levels and by how much.
