Computer Screen Monitor?

We are going to grab another LCD monitor for our ProTools rig (on a Mac). We currently have a 22" Apple Cinema Display which is great. We were planning on buying the latest 23" Apple Cinema but are wondering if we should look into the Dell 24" or Benq 24".

Any opinions or thoughts on this?

Thanks.

I like the Samsungs, followed closely by the Dells. They are both excellent for graphics, superior to most others including the Apple. Things change with models, of course, but this one thing seems to be pretty constant.

I recently went through the same issue, i did a lot of research & indeed one of the best options was a Samsung screen.

However Samsung have come out with several different versions of their most popular 22" screen (226BW) and some of them had different LCD panels inside which weren't as good. Originally you could tell which panel it was by looking at a sticker at the back but since then Samsung have started to paint over the stickers. Now the only way to see which model it is, is by accessing a hidden menu inside the monitor.

Anyway, not wanting to risk getting the wrong samsung screen, i ended up buying a HP 22" screen (W2207) & am very happy with it. I tried it out side by side next to the Samsung 226BW and the colours and image are on the same level..

I'm probably going to get another one soon!

I also just went with a 22" Samsung from Newegg.com. Very Happy with it so far and half the price of the 23" Apple. I may buy another and double my view.

Everyone in my office uses a mixture of the Apple and Dell displays.

I rather like that many of the Dell displays have a greater variety of I/O options, but also have the ability to swing sideways. It sound silly, but it's really much nicer to read that way. Less scrolling.
