What platform are you on?

I use Cubase, and to backup a project, I just drag the whole folder to another drive, prety simple.

I don't know if there's anything tricky under windows (I'm on OS X), or with other apps, but I'd be surprised.

If you jsut want to clone the whole drive in one fell swoop, there are programs out there for doing just that. I use Carbon Copy Cloner, which is a shareware app for mac.

If it is an audio drive with no OS on it, why clone?
You are better off copying the data to a freshly formatted drive- less fragmentation- unless you are defragging the drive first.
