Hello all, I have to buy a Europian brand laptop to use with fireface 800. So the only possibility is Dell. Does anyone know if any model of Dell uses TI firewire chipset? Or does any other european brand using TI chipset exist? |

It is my understanding that purchasing a separate Texas Instruments EEE-1394 card and installing into your desktop is the best solution...

Actualy if you don't have TI chipset in the machine adding a TI chipset does no good. That's what I read in lot's of forums. It is like upsampling 44K to 48K. The chain is as powerfull as the weekest point.
