Is an ADAT connection at -10db or +4db?

I have been using an SMPro MKII as one of my pres. I find it to be ok. The one thing that is driving me crazy is that if I connect it using XLRS (+4db) I get a strong signal. If I connect it via ADAT I get a week signal, as if ADAT is at -10db. Is that normal?

Anyone else experienced this?

Thanks,

ADAT's are both -10 and +4, err, at least that's what I heard.

Use the ELCO connector for +4 connections, RCA for -10
