| GS Community Manager | UK customs - don't get caught. It's way over the legal import limit. Warranty - yes, it would be honoured. Nice thing about Apple, their portable machines - and only their portable machines - have worldwide warranties. Dunno about cheap though. I don't remember HK as being a cheap place at all. |

One would think things like this (electronics/gack etc.) would be cheaper straight from the area they're being manufactured - in actuality - while I was there a few years back, they're 10% to 20% more expensive than here!!! (Can$ or US $). This goes for ALL electronics - cameras/corders/computers/etc. Tho I don't know the pricing re: Apple computers in the UK, I'd suggest looking locally before trying to get the same thing for more bread in the Pacific Rim... If I were you, I'd spend my money in Hong Kong getting a custom tailored suit. The best $500 I ever spent!!! My .02 c | |

| i remember seeing apple products in HK being marked up. they don't have that many stores that carry it. warranties are offered worldwide indeed, we bought one in Canada, and warranty was fine in HK. |

Yes. Yes. Depends. If you're using it, maybe not. If you've got it boxed and sealed, might need to pay. Should be worldwide.

| You can buy them at prices listed on the website. About the same price -VAT...so there. I wouldn't worry about customs if it is for your personal use. I have brought my notebook with me from hong kong into UK on a few occassions..

| Before you buy a Macbook enter "macbook flickering screen" into google or look it up on the Apple discussion for Macbook. Not sure if this affect Core 2 Duos as well. |
