Smile URS input / output problems

I use URS VST plug ins a lot, I really like them. However, the input & output meters are really strange and don't seem to work very well.

It seems like the input & output meters are always in the red, sometimes even after I have turned the input & output levels completely down.

Strange indeed.

Needless to say, it makes mixing & mastering very difficult.

Has anyone else had problems with URS plug-ins? particularly with the input & output meters?

I remembered they clip easily while I demo them, it seems there're some silly headroom problem with URS stuffs but whatever it is, most other plugins doesn't have such problems whatsoever.

Sure they can clip easy but dealing with it is VERY worth in IMHO

that's the thing though, no matter how low I put it the thing keeps clipping, although it doesn't sound like its clipping . . but if I could trust myself to be able to detect clipping with my ears I wouldn't need the meters to begin with!

It is definitely worth figuring out, I love URS plugins, they are some of the best hardware emulations I have ever heard.

You are right, they clip easily but I would say trust your ears. If it sounds good and the red light is on then just close your eyes and ignore the led!
