Waves APA?

Any of you guys using the APA 32 or 44? Can all waves plugs run on it or just select plugs like IR? Trying to decide between springing for one of these to power SSL native and V series plugins or buying a more powerful laptop and running native.

Thanks

I have the 44, I had the 32 but it was too noisy for me as I don't have a machine room. I am not using the 44 as I track and mix in my studio which causes me to change my Buffer Size setting regularily which causes some issues with these units. You constantly have to change the software interface of the 44/32 everything you change your buffer settings which is annoying.

If you are primarily mixing and don't regularily change your buffer settings it is quite useful. For the time being I beleive that the APA's on run Ir1 and QClone and few other plugs. I was told that they will be setting things up soon so that all plugs will work on the APA sometime this year .

Hope that helps

What laptop do you have now? If you are thinking of the SSL plugs - go with a mac book or mac book pro - the ssl plugs don't run on the APA - yet.

Thanks. I'm about to buy a new computer. Probably a macbook pro so I can add the UAD laptop deal when released.
