Absolute Best Sound Quality Warping/Time-stretching available on Mac?

I need to do a LOT of warping on complete live songs to produce DJ friendly dance remixes and could use some advice.

Ableton Live is obviously one of the most intuitive and popular choices for this purpose but it's various algos just don't provide the best sound quality when it comes to source material with wildly shifting tempos.

Are there any OS X based DAWs, Editors, or Apps that handle the type of warping I need with less noticeable sound degradation? ( I know that some is inevitable, I'm just looking for the best available )

I'm willing to sacrifice some of the convenience that Live provides if the results are of better quality than Ableton currently offers.

I'm also interested in any simple tips (for a complete mixing layman) on processing the tracks after warping to restore a smoother and more "natural" sound.

Thanks in advance for your time and wisdom!

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Does anyone have personal experience with more than one of the above recommendations to offer a subjective comparison?
