| 24" imac vs. 20" imac + external display i'm looking at buying an imac for recording and web design purposes. thinking of either a 20" imac and later buying an external monitor to expand the desktop OR a 24" imac and most likely forget about the external monitor. thoughts on what's preferred for recording purposes? one larger or two mid-sized displays? i run logic pro 7.2 cheers, brian |

| Gear maniac | I prefer 2 monitors, that way I can visually separate windows instead of having them all on the same monitor - like mixer and edit window in pro tools type thing. I know some people who prefer working on one larger monitor. I would say that if have two monitors they both need to be the same resolution and phyisical size, moving the mouse from one to the other and have it jump, or have to move your eyes down to a lower monitor can be very annoying IMO. |
