Awsome Protools utility

Someone finally made it. A nice simple way to delete all those little prefs etc... to make your protools system healthy. Please pay the the guy if you download it.

Been using it for a little while. Works nicely. thumbsup

@ Tree.
If you have to trash PT preferences, database folders, etc, it does it for you. So you don't have to manually find them one by one. I also like that it drops them in the trash, as opposed to just deleting them.

IMHO there isn't, our studio rarely has problems which require trashing PT prefs and such...

Had a problem not so long ago where I had to trash the database from a harddrive on the server, but IMHO doing it by hand is as fast as using this app... though I do think it's a nice app.

I used it. It works well. As for what it does. It removes certain files from your computer that can become corrupt and cause protools to act funny or crash. After you run the little program, protools will open up with the default protools preferences in place and things might be different if you customize you prefs. For example, you will have to check your playback engine, session file backups settings, etc...

I agree, I've had to trash the prefs only once (and I'm still not really sure if I REALLY had to). Anyway, it doesn't hurt having it around if it happens.

keep in mind, using this utility does not erase every thing if you are using PTMP.
