Sonic Maximizer?

Anybody uses BBE Sonic Maximizer plug on the 2bus? If yes, where do you place it: before the compressor, after it? Do you use any additional EQ on the 2bus with the SM? Thanks.

I have used them both before and after compression.
They seem to be better suited to program recorded on analog tape machines.
Never found a use for it when I went digital.

dito. Back in the days we sometimes used a BBE maximiser (hardware) for polishing up muddy 2-tracks from analog tape with ok-results. A very rough treatment, however, to be handled with care.
