002R 6.9.2 Core Audio issues

I have a Digi002R that I'm trying to get to work for a number of other mac-based programs. It is the only interface for the mac that I've got (and the only firewire interface I have) so I need to get it to work. I'm using it on an iBook under 10.4.6.

Having major core audio problems, though. In short, I can't seem to see the driver/interface anywhere on the computer- Pro Tools works great, but I can't use it for other apps (Sonic PMCD is the main one that I want here).

I've tried building an aggregate device in the audio/midi setup and messed around with the digi core audio manager, but it isn't working so far...

Any hints on making this work? I confess that I am mainly a PC guy and don't know as much about doing music on a mac, but this seems ridiculous.

Hello Ben.

I'm trying to get the 002R to show in the Sound section of the system software in an Intel Macbook Pro and pt8 with no Luck. Tried the Core Audio (wich works!?), Audio midi setup, and no luck. I even re-install the Core Audio....
Did you figure out how to get it working?
Thanks...........Joaquin.

Have you ran the setup successfully before? I remember running 6.9.2 (very stable) on a 10.4.2, check if it's supported on 10.4.6.

I'd try reinstalling Core Audio first, and if it doesn't work, maybe install a newer Core Audio driver (I don't know if this would work, worth trying).

Good luck.
